January and February tend to be our busiest months for wedding planning. With so many engagements happening over the holidays this is the time that we really gear up for the upcoming wedding seasons both 2019/2020. We absolutely love wedding planning because after all, who doesn’t enjoy a great love story right?!!

As a goal to make things as seamless and as stress free as possible for our potential clients we’ve compiled a little check list to get the ball rolling in the right direction. At a glance here are our suggestions to get you started when planning your wedding.

1) Choose a season and confirm the date. There are so many great attributes to all of the seasons as they pertain to weddings and we’d love to share what we know about each of them with you. Your date will allow you to proceed with securing all of the additional details of the event so this is a great place to start.

2) Venue booking and reservation. From a catering perspective the venue that you choose always has an impact on the bottom line so be sure to hit the pavement and do some research to find the best fit for your ceremony and reception respectively. We always suggest setting up a weekend of site visits to physically walk through potential spaces and see everything for yourselves. We often do this with our clients in order to provide our take on things and to pose additional questions relating to the venue. We have venue amenity checklists available to simplify things for you!

3) The next step is where the style and aesthetic of your big day really comes to life with all of your vendor reservations. Florals, Music, Food & Beverage services, Cake & Sweets, Decor, Photography, Planning services, Rental equipment, Rehearsal dinner, Guest Accommodations, etc. Lining up all of your vendor choices can at times be a bit of a challenge based on availability so it is our recommendation to make contact with all vendors as early as possible in the process and to narrow things down to a couple of choices for each detail.

** We have our preferred recommendations for all of our clients from our industry vendor friends and contacts and love to share them anytime that we can. As it pertains to food & beverage, it is our absolute pleasure to be as involved as our valued clients would like us to be in the planning process.

We look forward to meeting all of our wedding couples in person to discuss all details of the event as well as work through all food and beverage selections together with a complimentary tasting, this is simply common place when dealing with Food Works Craft Catering as our goal is to support you and the vision of your special day in any way that we can.

From here the fine tuning and adjustments come into play as the foundation has already been set and the plan has now transformed to a reality. The key to event success is to have all of the details in order and we have checklists & scheduling systems designed to keep everything on track for you and running smoothly.

Once again congratulations on your engagement and we look forward to being a part of this momentous occasion together.
